What makes New Hall Summerhouse Retreat so special?
A holistic hideaway... Until recently running as a holistic therapy studio and day spa, New Hall now offers beautiful overnight accommodation for couples or two friends with use of outdoor spa pool. A unique and rustically styled boutique studio in the gardens of our home. Although not currently offering hands on treatments, New Hall Summerhouse Retreat is still very focussed on natural healing, holistic wellbeing and self care. Set away from the main roads, over a cattlegrid and down a country lane, you don’t have to worry about parking, there is ample, free space. Located in peaceful farmland surroundings, surrounded by fields and horses, we are just on the outskirts of Elland, between Lindley and Brighouse, yet just 5 minutes from Ainley Top and the M62.
Our ethos is about authenticity. We’re about recycling and up-cycling. Designed by ourselves with an interior created and hand-waxed from local scaffold boarding, our summerhouse contains furniture and artifacts which mostly have had a previous life and now come together to create a rustically styled, beautiful, calming space. Underfloor heated flag stones, wood burning stove and deliciously exotic aromatherapy products created by our sister company New Hall Aromatics, completes an understated luxury. A private outdoor space consists of a flagged enclosed terrace with cast iron table and chairs, sun loungers, outdoor festoon lighting and fire pit. Stay as long as you like, to relax or explore the local and wider areas of Halifax, Calderdale and Yorkshire. Check out the local area page to discover what Yorkshire delights are available to you. In addition, we have previously been awarded with TripAdvisor Certificates of Excellence for a number of years and have been rated in the top 5 spas and wellness in Yorkshire.
